Cool off and socialize with Izaak Walton League Aug. 4

The Elgin Chapter of Izaak Walton League of America invites the community to an ice cream social from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 4, at the lodge, 899 Jay St., in Elgin. Admission is $3.
Homemade cakes, pies and ice cream will be served.
The Elgin Model T Ford club will have cars available to view.
Boy Scout Troop 10 will provide games for children. Two adult members and four youth members will be available to discuss the 91st annual National Izaak Walton Convention they attended in Fredericksburg from July 23-27.
