Family Fun Fest at Des Plaines medical center

Des Plaines Mayor Matthew Bogusz officially proclaimed Saturday, Aug. 3, Presence Holy Family Fun Fest Day in Des Plaines.

Presence Holy Family Medical Center is hosting the fifth annual Fun Fest from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 3, at Presence Holy Family Medical Center, 100 N. River Road in Des Plaines. Participants will enjoy a variety of family-friendly activities, including free health screenings and assessments, children’s activities, raffles and more.

Kids are encouraged to bring a teddy bear or doll for a checkup, try out the Lattof YMCA climbing wall and partake in library story time. Ladies can enjoy an Avon makeover or a chair massage. Learn about local organizations and chat with elected officials.

The first 400 children between the ages of 5 and 17, who attend the event, will receive a backpack filled with school supplies. Those who preregister can use express check-in on event day. First-come, first-served — so get there early.

This year’s event is co-sponsored by Presence Holy Family Medical Center and the Des Plaines Healthy Community Partnership.

The Fun Fest is free and open to the public. Preregister today. Call (877) 737-7637.
