Cubs vs. Milwaukee Brewers at Wrigley Field

Pitching matchups: The Cubs’ Jeff Samardzija (6-9) vs. Kyle Lohse (7-7) Monday at 7:05 p.m.; Carlos Villanueva (2-7) vs. Yovani Gallardo (8-9) Tuesday at 1:20 p.m.; Jake Arrieta (1-2 with Baltimore) vs. TBD Tuesday at 7:05 p.m.; Edwin Jackson (6-11) vs. Wily Peralta (7-10) Wednesday at 7:05 p.m.

At a glance: The Cubs will get their first look at the Brewers since the drug-related suspension of Ryan Braun. Arrieta will come up from Class AAA Iowa to start Tuesday night. The Cubs are 3-5 against the Brewers, 1-1 at Wrigley Field. Former Cub Aramis Ramirez (knee) is on the DL. Jean Segura leads the Milwaukee offense with a line of .315/.350/.465 and 11 homers entering Sunday. Also providing pop are Carlos Gomez (17 homers entering Sunday) and Jonathan Lucroy (15 HRs). The Cubs and Brewers entered Sunday 3-4 in the NL in home runs. The Cubs ranked 10th in ERA (3.93) while the Brewers were 11th (4.07).
