Woodlands Academy hosts open house

Woodlands Academy in Lake Forest will be hosting an open house at 7 p.m. July 18 to discuss uses for the 23 acres donated to the boarding school from nearby Barat Woods.

Community members are invited to the open house to listen to Woodlands Academy’s plans for campus expansion, including landscaping and outdoor gathering spaces along with the preservation of the current forest’s environment.

The school received the donation in 2011 from an anonymous benefactor. The land previously was part of the defunct Barat College campus nearby.
