Memory of the old drive-in on Route 53

The screen of the 53 Outdoor Theater was very visible from my make-shift bike repair shop.

I had shoveled two feet of pigeon gunk out of the loft when we moved to the farm back in November of 1955. Besides the smell that was still prevalent and no sound, the movies were very enjoyable.

The farm was built when Lincoln was president and I believe that’s when the pigeons began their initial plunks.

All this before breakfast. Ugh!
