Northwest Circle of Friends helps support local, national causes

The Northwest Circle of Friends woman’s club recently donated $500 to the Salvation Army for the Oklahoma Tornado Relief Fund. During 2012 and 2013, the group also helped support local organizations such as the Palatine Township Food Pantry, Women in Need Growing Stronger, as well as Shelter Inc.

Recently celebrating its 40th anniversary, the Northwest Circle of Friends was organized to foster friendships, to create social activities and to promote educational and community involvement, including making contributions to charitable organizations. Members come from throughout the Northwest suburban area.

The group offers numerous activities each month including a monthly luncheon with program, various card games offered for day and evening, bowling league, golf league, movie club, out to dinner group, walking club, book club and more. Fall 2013 programs will feature book reviewer Jenny Riddle, chef and caterer Dave Esau of Dave’s Specialty Foods and more.
