Hoffman’s Fourth parade relocated for 2013

Due to the reconstruction of Hassell Road, the village of Hoffman Estates Fourth of July parade has relocated to Illinois Boulevard for 2013, only.

The parade will take place 9 a.m. on Thursday, July 4. This year’s parade theme is “This Land is Your Land.” Children’s bike and trike parade participants should assemble at 8:45 a.m. at the intersection of Kingman Lane and Illinois Boulevard. Parking for parade spectators is on public side streets (where parking is allowed) adjacent to the parade route along Illinois Boulevard.

The Celebrations Commission will be accepting donations of nonperishable canned or boxed goods and paper products at their float during the Fourth of July parade. These donations will be used to replenish area township food pantries. Monetary donations will also be accepted.

For information, call the Fourth of July hotline at (847) 252-5446.
