Peoples' Bank returns as Stampede Sponsor

As they have for a number of years, The Peoples' Bank of Arlington Heights will serve as the primary sponsor for the Frontier Days 5K/10K Stampede on July 7. The race is one of the largest in the area with over 1300 runners participating in last year's run.

“The Stampede is not only one of the best running events in the area, it is one of the best summer events altogether,” said bank President Frank Appleby. “We are proud to be associated with a family event like this and look forward to another great turnout on July 7th.” In addition to providing primary funding for the race, the bank will be providing bottled water for participants and attendees.

Early registration for the race ends June 30th though runners can register right up until race time. Participants can register at www.signmeup.com/89343. The race kicks off at 7:30 a.m. outside of Miner School. Race Director Craig Carlson who has been in charge of the race for a number of years expects another great turnout, including plenty of fans and neighbors who come out to cheer the runners.

The Peoples' Bank of Arlington Heights operates two locations in the community, one at 41 S. Vail, and another at 1104 S Arlington Heights Road. The bank also sponsors the Arlington Heights Park District's Picnic in the Park and National Night Out, and the Sounds of Summer Concert Series throughout the summer.
