'Prom Revisited!' is Aurora Public Library Foundation event theme
The Aurora Public Library Foundation has set the theme “Prom Revisited” for its fifth annual “Imagine…the possibilities” fundraiser.
The November 15 event will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the Prisco Community Center in Aurora. Attendees wearing prom garb from decades past will feel right at home under the balloons and streamers that will give the space a vintage feeling.
This year's fundraiser will aptly be aimed at making the Teen Space in the new Aurora Public Library an amazing outlet for Aurora's young people to collaborate, create and prepare themselves for life beyond high school.
Tickets are $70 each. Table sponsorship is $700 and includes recognition at all library locations, in the event program booklet, in the library's quarterly newsletter, and on the donor wall at the new Main Library, among other benefits. Tickets or table sponsorships can be purchased through PayPal on the Aurora Public Library website: http://tinyurl.com/k3fgv56 or by scrolling to the bottom of the homepage (www.aurorapubliclibrary.org) and clicking on the PayPal icon.
In a new twist, this year's event will feature a sit-down dinner as well as a “prom court” comprised of some of Aurora's most well-known citizens. Catered by Reuland Food Service, the event will have its own signature prom drink as well, so no hidden flasks will be necessary! And what prom would be complete without a deejay and dancing?
To make the event the best ever, the foundation needs unique, exciting auction items. For more information on how to help make Prom Revisited a cut above the rest, please call Aurora Public Library Development Officer Laura Stoney at 630-264-4154 or email her at llston@aurora.lib.il.us.
