Lake County offices accesible during renovation

Public access to Lake County offices will be available while renovation of the sixth through ninth floors of the headquarters in downtown Waukegan takes place over the next 18 months. The Chief County Assessor’s Office has temporarily relocated to 415 Washington St., Suite 201 in Waukegan but the Recorder’s Office and GIS/Mapping have a counter in the lobby. Staff from other departments, such as the county administrator, finance, information technology and human resources will have office space in Gurnee. The purchasing department will accept bids at the Central Permit Facility, 500 W. Winchester Road in Libertyville. All phone numbers will remain the same. Visit www.lakecountyil.gov.
