Boil order issued in Mettawa

Workers in the Boulton Boulevard business complex in Mettawa were told to boil their drinking water Friday after a main break resulted in bacterial contamination, Lake County officials announced. People in the affected businesses were told to boil their water for 3-5 minutes and let it cool before using. Drinking bottled water is an option, too. The break was repaired Friday and the water supply was re-chlorinated. Affected customers will be notified when the water is again safe to drink.
