Stop by Arlington Farmers Market for unique shopping experience

The Arlington Heights Farmers Market will be open Saturdays from 7:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. through Oct. 19 in Commuter Parking Lot S, Vail Avenue and Fremont Street, just behind the Arlington Heights Memorial Library and across from the Arlington Heights Historical Museum.

The farmers market is in its 14th year and items sold include fresh produce, plants, vegetables, breads, pastries, herbs, flowers, cheese, pastas, sauces, jellies and honey. There will even be a vendor on-site to do knife sharpening.

Excess funds raised at the market are donated to community nonprofit organizations.

Market vendors include High Rise Baking Co., bread products; Red Barn Farm Market, general produce; R & B Miller Farms, all seasonal fruit, jams and honey; Hardin Farms, seasonal fruit; KAP Farms Inc., general produce; Fraternite Notre Dame, French pastries; Stamper Cheese Company, Wisconsin cheeses; Kountry Kettle Corn, kettle corn; S & D Honey, knife sharpener, local honey; Twin Garden Farms, general produce and Mirai corn; Tastefully Simple, prepackaged mixes; Lil Mad Café, muffins, granola, short breads etc.; Mama Valerios, sauces, mushrooms, dips; River Valley Ranch, mushroom products; A Taste of Michigan Cherries, Door County cherry products; Tammy’s Delights, dog treats; Sassy Cookie Co., gourmet cookies; Basket of Pasta, Pappardelle Pasta-dried; Buttercream By Julianna, gluten-free baked goods; Magnificent Dips, prepackaged dips; Yummy Pie Co., pies; Horcher Country Flowers, flowers and local produce; Bakery Serafina, baked goods, vegan cakes; Mangia Bubala, bagels; and CowZDoor.com, frozen grass-fed beef.
