Students in Grades 4-12 are invited to register now for August Basketball Camps, offered through Deerfield Park District. The Dee Brown Guard Camp, presented by Hoops4Health, is Monday and Tuesday, Aug. 12 and 13 from 1 to 6 p.m. at the Sachs Recreation Center, 455 Lake Cook Road, in Deerfield.

Boys and girls may participate in the Camps which have groups organized by age. Camp has a maximum of 75 participants. The per-participant cost is $175 for Early Registration, if paid before July 1.

After July 1, the per-participant fee is $195. The Activity # is: 433017 – Section 01. Illinois Basketball Legend Dee Brown will be there throughout the camp working hands-on with all the players and providing the tips and drills necessary to become an elite level guard. The Top 10 Guards in each division: grades 4-5, 6-7, and 8-12, will be selected to play in the All Star Game combined with the top 10 Bigs from the Bill Cartwright Big Man Camp, on August 16th at the Sachs Recreation Center.

The Bill Cartwright Big Man Camp, also running at Sachs Recreation Center, takes place on Wednesday and Thursday, Aug. 14 and 15 from 1 to 6 p.m. The Big Man Camp is also for boys and girls in grades 4-12. Groups will be broken down by age. Camp has a maximum of 75 participants.

Chicago Bulls Basketball Legend Bill Cartwright will be there throughout the camp working hands-on with all the players and providing the tips and drills necessary to become an elite level Forward/Center. Top 10 Bigs in each division from grades 4-5, 6-7, and 8-12 will be selected to play in the All Star Game on August 16th at the Sachs Recreation Center.
