Check out Art in the Park in Elk Grove

Come experience the Elk Grove Park District’s third annual Art in the Park taking place from noon until 5 p.m. on Sunday, June 9, in the heart of the community on the Village Green, 901 Wellington Ave.

Activities include an open air studio with the opportunity to create your own masterpiece, a demonstration tent complete with hands-on demos, a children’s art exhibit, juried art booths, and a silent auction.

The entertainment lineup is Jose Valdes & the Mambo All-Stars from 12:30 to 2 p.m. This band plays a cross section of all the Latin dance rhythms. From 3:30 to 5 p.m. is Guitarra Azul playing a blend of world sounds with Latin percussion and Spanish guitars.

This is a free event where you can see multitude of artwork on display and for sale. Art in the Park is sponsored in part by Blick Art Materials. In case of rain the event will be held in the Pavilion.
