Hoffman Estates Chamber hosts annual fishing derby

The Hoffman Estates Chamber of Commerce is hosting its annual Community Fishing Derby from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 8, at South Ridge Lake, 1450 Freeman Road.

The event is co-sponsored by the chamber, Sears Holdings Corp., Hoffman Estates Community Bank and Cabela’s.

About 100 fish sponsored by local businesses are worth $10 to $100 if caught, with one worth a $1,000 gift card to Cabela’s. There will also be door prizes, goody bags, T-shirt giveaways and food available for purchase.
