Home repair loan assistance for Hoffman Estates citizens

Homeowners in the village of Hoffman Estates in need of money for repairs of unsafe or deteriorated home conditions or to correct code violations may be eligible for a zero percent interest-deferred loan up to a maximum amount of $25,000 with no monthly payments.

These loans are part of Hoffman Estates’ Community Development Block Grant program, funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

To qualify for a loan you must:

타 Reside in Hoffman Estates

타 Own, live in and have equity in the home you wish to repair

타 Be current on property taxes and mortgage

타 Meet income requirements listed in the home repairs brochure found at www.hoffmanestates.org/cdbg

All loan applications will be considered, and homes will be inspected by a building inspector and North West Housing Partnership staff. If you qualify, you will be assisted with the entire rehabilitation process by the NWHP.
