The Peoples' Bank of Arlington Heights to Sponsor Sounds of Summer

As part of a three year agreement signed last year, The Peoples' Bank of Arlington Heights will once again serve as the primary sponsor of Arlington Heights' downtown concert series, Sounds of Summer. The series features live music performances in Harmony Park most Thursday and Friday evenings throughout the summer.

This year's series will kick off with a performance by the Saint Viator Jazz Band on Thursday, June 6th followed the next evening with an appearance by Gone 2 Paradise, a Jimmy Buffet tribute band. All concerts begin at 7:00 p.m. Concerts are free and residents are encouraged to bring chairs or blankets to sit on for the shows.

“We are very happy to once again be the primary sponsor for Sounds of Summer,” said Peoples' Bank President Frank Appleby. “The concerts take place literally outside our door so we look forward to helping provide this great summertime tradition in Arlington Heights.”

The Peoples' Bank, which opened in 1999, has locations at 41 South Vail and 1104 South Arlington Heights Road. The bank takes an active role in supporting events and organizations throughout the community, particularly in the summer months. During the period of June through August the bank will serve as primary sponsor for the Arlington Heights Park District's Picnic in the Park and National Night Out, and the Frontier Days Stampede 5/10K Run and Walk in addition to Sounds of Summer.
