Palatine Township can help residents file tax appeals
The Palatine Township assessor’s office will help residents appeal their recently received property reassessment notices from the Cook County assessor.
Residents who believe the new fair market value listed is too high can stop by the township assessor’s office from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays and from 8:30 a.m. to noon Saturdays. The deadline to file an appeal is Thursday, June 20. Reducing the assessed value can help reduce property taxes.
