Lombard Public Works Department announces Main Street Rehabilitation Project construction

The Main Street Rehabilitation Project kicks off next Tuesday and will be under construction for about two months, weather permitting.

Beginning June 4, the segment of Main Street between Roosevelt Road and 15th Street will see intermittent lane closures and redirection of traffic – but remain open during construction.

Most side street intersections will remain partially open during construction – however Main Street at 13th Place will be closed to traffic for the first four weeks of the project.

The rehabilitation project includes replacement of all curb and gutter, partial driveway apron replacement and concrete pavement replacement in an effort to provide a smooth riding surface.

Residents living in the construction area will be unable to access their driveways during curb work and roadway paving. Parking permits will be provided for those residents affected by construction.

Questions about the project can be directed to the Public Works Department at (630) 620-5740.
