New "bar" opening in Highland Park - Cos(metic) bar that is
A new “bar” is coming to downtown Highland Park - Cos Bar that is! The Aspen, Colorado-based boutique retailer of luxury cosmetics, skincare and international fragrances, is opening its doors at 662 Central Avenue, in Downtown Highland Park, the first week of June.
“I have been wanting to bring Cos Bar to Highland Park for years, where so many of our Aspen, Vail and Scottsdale clientele live,” explains Lily Garfield, founder of Cos Bar. “I am looking forward to having our Chicago and North Shore friends come hang out at Cos Bar, where everyone will not only know their name, but the look they love.”

Cos Bar brings a team of expert makeup artists to Highland Park headed by store manager, Santos Tijerina, who has been with Cos Bar for five years, opening and managing The Woodlands, Texas Cos Bar location. He has an extensive background in makeup artistry from MAC Cosmetics, where he worked for 15 years. Tijerina's prestigious portfolio includes celebrity makeup, fashion shows, weddings, and everyday makeup lessons/looks. With his experience in luxury makeup and international fragrances, Tijerina will play in an integral role in leading the Highland Park Cos Bar team.
North Shore shoppers will be impressed with the highly qualified team of makeup associates at Cos Bar Highland Park. Anna Reyderman has over 13 years of experience in luxury retail/cosmetics, including product specialist for Laura Mercier. Ricki Zabrin has 21 years of cosmetic experience in make-up artistry at Neiman Marcus, Lord & Taylor, Nordstrom and Macy's. Valerie Abramson has an extensive background working as product specialist at high-end luxury department stores. These three team members will raise the beauty bar on the North Shore, as they help personalize the cosmetic experience at Cos Bar.

Cos Bar will also offer its clients “Curb to Cos Bar” service. Customers will be able to order their product ahead of time and do a quick pull up to the storefront (there are two 15 minute parking spaces conveniently located in front of Cos Bar on Central Avenue) and an employee will deliver it to their car for speedy pick-up!
