Crabtree Nature Center hosts activity day June 9
Picnics are just the start of what you can do in the Forest Preserve District of Cook County. Come to “Explore the Forest” at Crabtree Nature Center near Barrington Hills from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, June 9, to find more. Try out recreation activities, see what staff is up to and get kids outside at this free event. This is a Chicago Wilderness event and features the first nature play area in the district. Families can plant seeds to take home, make binoculars and pick up free information on sharing nature with children. Crabtree Nature Center is on Palatine Road one mile west of Barrington.
