Alzheimer’s Association discusses early warning signs of Alzheimer’s

The Alzheimer’s Association, Greater Illinois Chapter will offer the educational program, “Memory Loss, Dementia and Alzheimer’s Disease: The Basics,” 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, May 30, at St. Charles Park District Adult Activity Center, 8 North Ave., St. Charles. Lunch will be provided.

Attendees will learn the difference between normal, age-related memory changes and more serious memory problems that should be evaluated by a medical professional. Topics that will be covered include: common causes of memory loss, risk factors and the importance of an accurate diagnosis.

Program specialist Mike Bius will present and take questions following the program.
