Do you want to help improve the environment? Consider joining a summer restoration project with the Lake County Forest Preserve District. Groups will plant flowers and help control invasive plant species. No experience is required, but work gloves and sturdy shoes are needed. Go to lcfpd.org/restoration for locations and a schedule.
