Late Downers Grove Teacher Remembered

A memorial garden and reading circle was built in memory of late Downers Grove District 58 teacher Dee Regas. Earlier this year, Regas passed away. The beloved teacher who touched the lives of hundreds of Downers Grove children had spent much of her career as the kindergarden teacher at Belle Aire School in Downers Grove. Regas had retired several years ago and remained living in the community. Teachers, staff, neighbors, students, alumni and friends contributed to the outdoor reading circle and garden which was dedicated during the Belle Aire teacher/staff luncheon.
