Duckworth to attend art reception in Arlington Heights

Congresswoman Tammy Duckworth will attend a reception and awards ceremony for the 31st annual Congressional High School Art Competition. The free event, hosted by the Northwest Cultural Council, will take place at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 18, at Arlington Green Executive Center, 2101 S. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights. The winning submission from each high school in the 8th Congressional District will be on display. Part of a nationwide competition, the winning art piece from each Congressional district is displayed in an exhibit in the Cannon tunnel leading into the U.S. Capitol.
