Mayor, clerk and trustees sworn in at April 27 ceremony

The village of Hoffman Estates hosted an official installation ceremony for individuals recently elected to the offices of village president, village clerk and village trustee April 27 at Village Hall, 1900 Hassell Road.

Elected officials taking the oath of office were William D. McLeod for the office of President, Bev Romanoff for the office of Clerk, and Karen Mills, Michael Gaeta and Gayle Vandenbergh for the office of Trustee. During the April 9 election, residents voted to re-elect McLeod, Romanoff and Mills, and elected Gaeta and Vandenbergh to their first terms in office.

The ceremony took place in the Helen Wozniak Council Chambers, and was followed by light refreshments. Judge Arthur L. Janura administered the swearing-in ceremony.

The event was open to the public.
