Pizza with pizazz
Congrats to chef Patrick Maggi, owner of Pasquale's Pizzeria and Delicatessen and his BLT pizza for coming in seventh place (out of 100) at the 2013 World Pizza Championship held in April in Parma, Italy. Chef Maggi, who also owns three eateries on the East Coast, was the second highest ranking American chef to win in the competition. Pasquale's Pizzeria offers hand-tossed pizzas, hot and cold Italian subs, calzones and appetizers and specializes in gluten-free pizza.

Wake up to new menu at Rise 'N Dine
Several new items on Rise 'N Dine's menu will have you jumping out of bed and over to the Wheeling eatery. Try the anitra skillet with duck sausage, spinach, mushrooms, roasted red peppers, Monterey Jack cheese, diced potatoes, topped with a choice of eggs and served with pancakes or toast for $9.95; or the volcano omelet, a four-egg omelet with skirt steak, jalapeños, onions, mushrooms and Asiago cheese, topped with sriracha and served with hash browns and pancakes or toast for $9.95. Atwater's gets fresh
Get fresh at Atwater's — fresh air on the courtyard patio and fresh fish flown in daily from Hawaii. The new spring menu includes naukati bay halibut steak, sauteed morel encrusted and mussel fennel fumet; and the big island red snapper pan seared with pineapple plantain salsa, risotto cake and coconut butter.
