Des Plaines Garden Club May Meeting

“Surprise in a Bag!” is the program for the Des Plaines Garden Club's May meeting on Thursday May 9, 11:00 a.m. at the Frisbie Senior Center, 52 E. Northwest Hwy. Our Fun with Flowers Workshop Chairperson, will hand out a bag containing everything we need to make a floral design. This will be done in teams that will be assigned. Our program will begin at 1:00 p.m. Members should bring wire cutters and scissors. Bob Nicholson, our Horticulturist, will discuss “Gardening for the Butterflies!” Don't forget an item for our raffle and then buy your $1 ticket and win a fun item. Bring a sandwich and our Hostesses will provide us with treats, coffee and tea. The clubs annual Plant and Bake Sale will be on Saturday, May 18 at the Frisbie Senior Center.
