Free kite fly in Lindenhurst:

The Lindenhurst Park District hosts an Earth-Arbor Day celebration from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 27 at the Lindenhurst village hall/public works facility, 2301 Sand Lake Road. Among the events is the Illinois Association of Park District’s annual “Flying 4 Kids” kite fly from noon to 2 p.m. at Slove Park, next to village hall. This kite fly was designed to create awareness and raise funds for park districts, forest preserves, conservation and special recreation agencies in Illinois.
