Poll Vault: How are you spending your tax refund?

Monday was the deadline to file your income tax returns. However, knowing you’re going to get money back is a powerful incentive to file early.
In 2012, the federal government refunded more than $16.7 million to Illinois residents and businesses, according to a chart on the IRS website, down from more than $19 million the year before.
Are you getting more or less back this year? Or are you in the unenviable position of owing the government?
If you are receiving a refund, what are you spending it on? Do you have a big-ticket purchase in mind, like a down payment on a car or a house? Or are you using that extra money to pay some bills?
