Will 2015 really be the Cubs’ year?
As a longtime Cubs fan I appreciated Barry Rozner’s March 31 column, “Familiar feelings dominate Opening Day.” Like many other prognosticators, he seems to feel 2015 might be the first possibility for Cub success. When I hear that I always like to point out that the movie “Back to the Future, Part Two” (released in 1989) anticipated the Cubs would finally win the World Series in 2015. That movie also indicated 2015 would see 1) cars that fly, 2) the U.S. weather bureau accurately predicting weather to the correct moment, and 3) a typical living room having a fax machine ready to accept what would appear to be ... emails.
