Lake Zurich High students to perform ‘The Drowsy Chaperone’

The Lake Zurich High School Drama Department presents the musical comedy, “The Drowsy Chaperone”, on April 24-27 at 7:30 p.m. at the Lake Zurich High School Performing Arts Center. This “show-with a show” begins when a die-hard musical enthusiast presents his favorite musical, a 1920s hit entitled “The Drowsy Chaperone”. The album immediately bursts to life and the audience is introduced to a pampered Broadway star, about to give up the limelight for her fiancee. Her producer, desperate to keep his star on the stage, sets out to sabotage the wedding.
