BACOA holds annual meeting:“Unleash the Power of Your Age” on April 23

The Barrington Area Council on Aging’s 2013 annual meeting will be held from 6-7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 23, at Makray Memorial Golf Club, 1010 S. Northwest Hwy., Barrington.

The theme of this year’s meeting is “Unleash the Power of Your Age,” which mirrors the theme of this year’s Older Americans Month. Older Americans Month is celebrated each May to honor and recognize older Americans for the contributions they make to our families, communities and society. This year’s theme encourages older Americans to stay engaged, active and involved in their own lives and in their communities.

The meeting is open to the public; cost is $40 per person, which includes appetizers, a light buffet supper and a cash bar. Online reservations are available on BACOA’s website at www.bacoa.org.
