Antioch Lion’s Club donation:

The Antioch Lions Club will present a $10,000 check to village officials to help fund the revitalization of the village’s pool, a landmark it financed nearly 60 years ago. The presentation for the new Antioch Aqua Center is set for Monday, April 8, at 8 p.m. during the Lions Club meeting at the VFW Hall, 75 North Ave., Antioch. Specifically, this donation is earmarked for expenses related to the aqua jungle gym, club officials said. The Lions Club has invited Mayor Lawrence Hanson, a Lions Club member, and each of the trustees to accept the donation. Parks and Recreation Director Shawn Roby is also expected to attend.
