Assessment letter was valuable

RE: March 21 article by Michael Rohrbeck In the Fencepost section of the Daily Herald, there was an opinion written by Mr. Michael Rohrbeck of Chicago.

I thank Mr. Rohrbeck for his information. As I understand it, he was alerting the reader to the apparent pressure on officials from some lawyers to change an accurate, open, and fair system of assessment and appeals that Lake County presently enjoys to something far less desirable — for the purpose of promoting more business for some lawyers.

I understand that the citizens of Lake County would not gain, and may suffer, as a result.
