Student sentenced for school assault in Naperville

A student at an alternative high school in Naperville was recently found guilty of assaulting a staff member there in February.

Kyle A. Rhoden, 19, was found guilty of aggravated assault in a DuPage County court on March 26 and received almost $800 in fines and five days of community service in SWAP — the Sheriff’s Work Alternative Program, according to the circuit clerk’s office.

The incident occurred Feb. 11 in which Rhoden swung his fist at a classroom counselor at Camelot of Naperville, on the 1200 block of Bond Street in Naperville’s Brookdale neighborhood.
