Palatine’s Medical Reserve Corps wins grant for third straight year

The Village of Palatine’s Medical Reserve Corps was recently awarded a $4,000 grant — its third straight — from the National Association of County and City Health Officials. It will be used to enhance and support ongoing program and team activities. The volunteer group brings together local health professionals for projects that focus on preparing for natural, technological and man-made disasters or emergencies. Initiatives include CPR/AED training, immunization assistance during epidemic outbreaks, community blood drives and support of fire personnel during training and working fires.
