Picnic permit purchasing hours extended in Cook County

On Monday, April 1, the Forest Preserve District of Cook County will begin offering extended hours for patrons purchasing picnic permits at the District’s General Headquarters, 536 N. Harlem Ave. in River Forest. Permits will be available from 8:30 a.m. until 6:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Saturdays. Patrons can purchase picnic permits, along with special use permits during this time. Picnic permits can also be purchased online anytime at fpdcc.com. Extended hours will be offered through Sept. 30.
