Ÿ Oscar I. Rosiles, 18, of the 200 block of Hill Avenue, Elgin, was charged Tuesday with three counts of residential burglary related to incidents that took place in November and December, according to a police report. Two laptops were stolen Nov. 6 from a residence on Kate Street; a PlayStation III gaming system and some games were taken Dec. 1 from a residence on Park Street; and on Dec. 18 two flat-screen TVs were taken from a residence on Hill Avenue. Forced entry was made in all three incidents. The gaming system was later sold to a local resale shop by someone who told police Rosiles had asked her to do that. Rosiles admitted being involved in all three burglaries. No information was immediately available about his next court date.
Ÿ Manuel A. Jasso, 19, of the 600 block of Jay Street, Elgin, was arrested at about 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at his home and charged with unlawful use/possession of a weapon by a felon and possession of a weapon without a valid FOID card, according to a police report. Jasso was on CAST (Cooperative Agencies Specialized Treatment) probation after he pleaded guilty in December to manufacture/delivery of cannabis. Two Kane County probation officers conducted a probation check on Jasso, and found four rounds ammunition. No information was immediately available about Jasso’s next court date.
