Buffalo Grove names village engineer

Darren T. Monico has been named Buffalo Grove Village Engineer. “Mr. Monico stood out as an experienced professional with good follow through, a strong work ethic and high integrity,” said village Manager Dane Bragg. Monico will start April 1, replacing Dick Kuenkler, who retired in 2012. Monico is a graduate from the University of Illinois who has worked for Barrington since January 2007 as the assistant director of Engineering and Building. His work included plan and permit reviews, management of construction projects, the village’s annual road and

utility program, budget preparation, and other duties.
