Update: Minnesota had a 15-14 record and was in playoff contention in early January when PF Kevin Love was sidelined by a broken hand. Since then, the Timberwolves have gone 9-29 but did deliver a 31-point win at Phoenix on Friday. Without Love, C Nikola Pekovic is the team’s top scorer at 15.6 points. PG Ricky Rubio has played in 42 games since recovering from a torn ACL, averaging 9.7 points and 7.2 assists. The Bulls have won six straight against Minnesota, including four in a row on the road.
