Des Plaines Chamber presents Community Enhancement awards

Community Enhancement awards have been given by the Des Plaines Chamber of Commerce & Industry for the past 49 years. The award recognizes those businesses who have gone beyond the norm when building and/or improving their businesses or services for the betterment of the Des Plaines community.

This year, the awards were presented to the following companies: Catholic Charities for their outreach work in the Des Plaines community and beyond; Rand Red Hots for bringing a new business to Des Plaines that turned a vacant property into an attractive restaurant; Boston Fish Market for expanding their existing business at a new location in Des Plaines and providing new services to residents; and School District 62 for the extensive renovation project that added a 50,000 square foot Early Learning Center and addressed concerns of health, safety and security in 11 schools in the district.
