Palatine organization to discuss Illinois budget crisis

The League of Women Voters of the Palatine Area will host an informational session on the state budget at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 28, at the Palatine Community Room, located in the police station at 595 N. Hicks Road. Ralph Martire of the Center for Tax and Budget Accountability will discuss why Illinois can’t pay its bills, the pension crisis, how the budget compares to other states’ and solutions.
