Arlington Heights Native Named Editor in Chief for Illio at University of Illinois

Amanda Adreani has been named editor in chief at Illio, the official yearbook of the University of Illinois. Illini Media Company, the independent student media company at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, is the parent company of Illio.

Adreani, daughter of Jennifer and Paul Adreani of Arlington Heights, is a 2011 graduate of Rolling Meadows High School. Currently she is a sophomore at U of I where she studies Art History and Psychology in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. Adreani joined the Illini Media staff just this year as a staff writer. She will supervise a staff of about 40 writers responsible for keeping the progress of the yearbook organized and focused.

Adreani says, “I hope that the Illio will be able to represent the varied passions of our student body better than ever before.”
