Endorsements: Tigges, Levine, Anastasio for Wayne board

The current Wayne trustees have done a good job of managing the direction of the village. Their diverse backgrounds and the ideas they have provide for productive discussions on issues important to Wayne such as the impact the Red Gate Road bridge will have on the village and the need to find creative new revenue streams for village obligations that are rising faster than incoming revenue. Incumbent Ann Tigges supports a property tax increase while the other incumbents, Howard Levine and Michael Anastasio, do not at this time. While they do disagree on this point, they have a healthy respect for each other and the best interests of Wayne at heart, and we endorse their re-election. Richard Ruminski and James Morris are challenging them for a seat, but the incumbents’ experience is particularly valuable at this pivotal time.
