Former local housing boss:

Former Lake County Housing Authority Executive Director David Northern has landed a similar job in Philadelphia. Northern has been selected as executive vice president of housing operations at the Philadelphia Housing Authority. He’ll oversee Philadelphia’s public housing programs, including conventional developments, scattered site housing and tax credit sites. Northern will receive an annual salary of $155,000 in Philadelphia. Northern had served in Lake County since 2002 as head of the quasi-governmental agency that handles public housing. He had made it known in January he would be leaving for an out-of-state opportunity.
