Lombard Fire Department Responds to Garage Fire, No Injuries Reported

“The garage was fully involved and extending to the house upon arrival,” according to Marty Coomes, Lombard Fire Department Battalion Chief. “The fire was controlled within ten minutes and caused approximately $200,000 damage to the house and contents,” Coomes added.

The Lombard Fire Department was assisted by York Center, Carol Stream and Addison fire protection districts. Fire companies from Oakbrook Terrace, Lisle and Glenside were called in to cover Lombard's Fire Stations. The fire is currently under investigation by the Lombard Fire Investigation Unit.
