Artists are invited to apply for this year's Art in the Barn

Artists are invited to submit applications for the 39th annual Art in the Barn, a juried and invitation-only event to take place Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 28-29, on the grounds of Good Shepherd Hospital, 450 W. Route 22, in Barrington.

The event is sponsored by the Auxiliary of Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital and all proceeds benefit the hospital.

This two-day event is an anticipated main stay in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago, and attracts over 6,000 people.

The categories of art include water color, printmaking, acrylics, ceramics, drawing, photography, jewelry, fiber arts, oil pastels and mixed media.

Each artist is required to submit an application for each medium and include a CD containing four digital images of the artist's work and a $20 nonrefundable application fee payable to Art in the Barn. It must be postmarked by April 13, 2013.
