Midweek storm on plains could bring snow here Thursday

AccuWeather.com is predicting heavy snow from northwestern Kansas to Iowa midweek, and there may be enough of a punch left to hit the Chicago area with its single biggest snowfall of the season beginning Thursday afternoon.

On the plains, the storm is predicted to dump from 6 to 12 inches of snow with blizzard conditions for a few hours.

Associated Press predicts snow here beginning Thursday afternoon, continuing into the evening with snow accumulation possible. A chance of light snow continues through Friday.
