Good to see action taken on S&P
Good to see action taken on S&P
After four years, the Justice Department has taken long awaited action against Standard & Poor’s, alleging fraud. Few thought such action would come at this late date but better late than never.
Some think a $5 billion fine on S&P will mean financial Armageddon for McGraw-Hill Inc., its parent company, but a negotiated settlement will probably occur, permitting the company to survive in some form.
Regardless of what success this action finds in court, it is heartening that something is being done.
